Elisa Scala has also been teaching Classical Technique for the Accompanying Pianists for Dance Course since 2016, and Classical Technique and Methodology for the Three-Year Diploma for Dance Teachers since 2018.
Dancer classically trained, he began her studies in Florence at the S.A.D. School, affiliated with the prestigious Académie de Danse Princesse Grace of Monte Carlo, where she studied with Marika Besobrasova.
In 1992 she was admitted to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York, and from 1998 she danced with several private companies.
She later moved toward_teaching classical dance, attending the Teaching Certificate program of the Royal Academy of Dance in London and further deepening her knowledge of the French School methodology through collaboration with teachers from the_École de Danse de l’Opéra di Parigi.
In 2002 she was admitted to the Teacher Training Course in Classical-Academic Dance at the Dance School of the Teatro alla Scala Academy, under the direction of Anna Maria Prina, where she graduated in 2004.
From 2004 to 2008 she founded and directed the Nijinsky Dance School in Florence.
In 2009 she was invited to teach Preparatory Dance (Propedeutica) at the Dance School of the Teatro alla Scala Academy, while also teaching Classical Technique at the A.I.D.A. Training Centre in Milan.
That same year she was selected to teach in the Academic Courses of the Dance School of the Teatro alla Scala Academy,where, as a faculty member, she also prepares and coaches students for productions at La Scala.
Since 2020 she has been teaching Analysis and Technique of Classical-Academic Dance and Teaching Methodology for the First Level Academic Diploma in Classical Dance (Technical-Didactic specialization).
For many years Elisa has taught at numerous dance workshops throughout Italy and has served as a jury member in several dance competitions.
