Camilla CERULLI

Born in Rome on 26 March 1999, she began her training at the National Academy of Dance in Rome, where she studied from 2010 to 2015. She then continued her education at the Ballet School of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, graduating in 2018.

In the same year, she joined the Ballet Company of Teatro alla Scala, taking part in productions both at La Scala and on tour, including Sylvia by Manuel Legris (Two Nubian Slaves), Giselle (one of Giselle’s Friends), George Balanchine’s Symphony in C (Third Movement), and Rudolf Nureyev’s The Sleeping Beauty (Princess Florine).
In the programme Evening of Four Choreographers, she was among the performers in Alexei Ratmansky’s Concerto DSCH, and in the Contemporary Evening she appeared in Birds Walking on Water, a creation by Natalia Horecna.
During the performances of Rudolf Nureyev’s Don Quixote at the Teatro Arcimboldi, she performed the role of Cupid.
In Rudolf Nureyev’s La Bayadère, which opened the 2021–2022 Ballet Season, she danced in the Pas d’Action, the Second Solo Shade Variation, the Solo D’Jampe role, and the “Manou” Dance—roles she would also reprise in the 2024 revival.

At the first edition of Gala Fracci, she performed the role of Civilisation in the excerpt from Excelsior. In the revival of Manuel Legris’ Sylvia (May 2022), she also performed the role of a Naiad.
For Wayne McGregor’s production AfteRite+LORE, she appeared as a member of the corps de ballet in the creation LORE. In the July 2022 revival of Giselle, in addition to dancing as one of Giselle’s Friends, she also performed the Peasant Pas de Deux. She joined the cast of Paquita during the performances of Variations of Beauty at Teatro Arcimboldi, dancing one of the solo variations.

Soloist Dancer since December 2022, in Rudolf Nureyev’s The Nutcracker, which opened the 2022–2023 Ballet Season, she performed the role of Louise and the Spanish Dance, and later appeared as a Snowflake Soloist.
In the Dawson/Duato/Kratz/Kylián programme, she was among the leading performers in Philippe Kratz’s creation Solitude Sometimes. In Manuel Legris’ Le Corsaire, she appeared as one of the three Odalisques and subsequently performed the role of Gulnare.

For the programme William Forsythe Evening – Blake Works V, she was among the leading performers in The Barre Project, which she reprised in 2025, also performing in Blake Works I.
She took part in Coppélia, Alexei Ratmansky’s new production that opened the 2023–2024 Ballet Season, dancing among the Six Friends of Swanilda before making her debut in the title role of Swanilda.

She received the Danza&Danza Award as Emerging Artist for the 2023 Season. In the Smith/León and Lightfoot/Valastro triple bill, she was among the leading performers in Garrett Smith’s Reveal. In the July 2024 revival of L’histoire de Manon, she appeared among the Courtesans, and in John Neumeier’s La Dame aux camélias, she performed the role of Prudence.
In the Balanchine/Robbins triple bill, she was part of the four soloists in Theme and Variations and performed the role of Apricot in Dances at a Gathering. In the revival of Rudolf Nureyev’s The Nutcracker, which opened the 2024–2025 Ballet Season, she reprised the roles of Louise, the Spanish Dance, and Snowflake Soloist, before also performing in the Pastorale and making her debut in the title role of Clara.

In the Kratz/Preljocaj/De Bana programme, she reprised Solitude Sometimes and took part in Patrick de Bana’s creation Carmen, in the role of Michaela. For La Scala’s premiere of Edward Clug’s Peer Gynt, she danced as one of the Four Madwomen; in Pierre Lacotte’s Paquita, she appeared as one of the Spanish Soloists, performing in the Grand Pas couples and the Pas de Trois.
In the July 2025 revival of Rudolf Nureyev’s Swan Lake, she danced in the Waltz Soloists, the Four Little Swans, the Pas de Trois, and the Tarantella Soloists. In The Sleeping Beauty by Rudolf Nureyev, which opened the 2025–2026 Ballet Season, she performed among the Princess’s Friends, the Seven Fairies, and Princess Florine, before making her debut in the title role of Princess Aurora.

At Gala Fracci 2026, she made her debut in the Act II pas de deux from Akram Khan’s Giselle.
